Slacker!

I know it has been forever! If it wasn't for my dear friend Dara harassing me into updating my blog it would probably be another 6 months :) Thank you Dara.

Where to start? This semester I am off track but I decided to stay in Rexburg so that I could have a social life. As it turns out staying this semester meant that I was called as the new Relief Society President. Yes, you read that correctly I, Anessa Humes, am Relief Society President! Crazy huh? I think so. I know it is only a student ward so it doesn't totally count but it is still tons of work. I am enjoying it more and more everyday. I am learning so much about myself, things I need to work on and I am also discovering some of my talents and strengths and that has been such a blessing. I have also been able to meet many new people within the ward and it has been so much fun!

I am on flag football team and we are pretty much amazing!! Our team name is Gouda, as in "my favorite's gouda" from the movie She's the Man. That movie is constantly quoted in our apartment and the name just felt right. Our team is the greatest, we have 9 girls on the team and about 7 coaches. Haha. Those boys are amazing to come out and help us every week. The other week I got a touchdown and man was I excited! In all the sports I have played in my life I never get to be the one who scores points so I was stoked!!! We just won our quarter final game last night and next week we go onto semi's and then FINALSS!! I can't wait, GO GOUDA!

Speaking of football, I am in a fantasy football league. But the special part about this league is that it is the Elder Quorum league. HAHA. I am the only girl and am in 2nd place right now. It is pretty funny. Mostly my brother and my friend Kurtis helped me pick my team but still my name is on it so I am winning!

Sorry for the lame no picture post. I promise I will be a better blogger!!

Oh ya, I am also on a softball team and boy do I have a story, it involves my face, a softball, and 6 stitches. I will tell more later :)
